It's Summer again, and that means it's 'Maniacs time! Come hear the Acoustamaniacs again this year downtown at the Sidewalk Arts Stroll! Back with some killer new material, you won't regret coming to listen (probably).

If you don't have a copy of NaDuck already (what rock have YOU been living under?) come out and get one! At $5.00 apiece, it's almost as cheap as downloading! (and roughly 5 times as gratifying).

It goes down this Thursday, May 17 starting at around 5 PM. Last year we played around the courthouse (which turned out to be a good thing, due to the riots that ensued after we announced our last song of the evening) but this year, we may be moved. Simply come downtown and find the large crowd.

So! What are you waiting for? Get yourself and your buddies together, and get ready to be rocked by the Acoustamaniacs (or at least slightly jostled)!

.....................It's here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Order your copy NOW for a low price of $5! Send an email to Temmlock@mchsi.com to place an order. Soon we may have a way to order online through PayPal with a credit card, but for now we're doing it the old fashioned way.

This is a day for celebration. NaDuck, over a year in the making, is finally released!! Yay!

~Acoustamaniacs Webmaster, 3/3/07

"NaDuck" is officially being scheduled for duplication! It's official release should be expected in no more than two weeks. Stay tuned to the site to order a copy!  Be the first on your block to own the greatest record of the past 2.67 milennia!

Also... The 'Maniacs have accepted an invitation to play for the "Great Big Book Bash" at the Huntsville Public Library, an event featuring children's author Jarrett Krosoczka, on Saturday, February 24 at 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM. Krosoczka is the author of a children's book called "Punk Farm", which is being made into a major motion picture. The Acoustamaniacs will be performing punk versions of children's songs in their signature crazy acoustic style, so it will definitely be a unique show! More info on the event.

Check out the new pics on the PHOTOS page and the new MUSIC too (CD version of "Down with the Government" and a live version of "Bite Me" from the August Sidewalks Arts Stroll)!

What's this? An update? Why, yes, I do believe it is! Must mean there's some breaking news and exciting/valuable additions to the site to be related. explained, and/or discussed! Must mean The Acoustamaniacs have a wealth of goodness to deliver to the world in the form of a few kb of data! Must mean everyone's lives are about to change!

Well... not really. In fact, there's really nothing to say at all. Except this long list of exciting stuff...

-The 'Maniacs are hard at work in the studio on the NaDuck album and anticipate a July or August release!

-There's a new studio recording available for download on the "MUSIC" page! Here's a hint: Please turn the tv down. Yes, the brand new studio recording of Game Room of Hell is available on this site and only this site!

-A few new rad pics of D and E on the "PHOTOS" page!

-FREE official Acoustamaniacs Ringtones! See that little button at the bottom of the left navigation bar?? Yeah, that one. No, don't eat it. Click it, Einstein.

...and, last but definitely not least by any stretch or G chord of the dulcimer...

-Another Acoustamaniacs performance is coming up! We've been invited to play on Thursday July 27 in downtown Huntsville at the second Meridian Arts "Sidewalk Arts Stroll" of the summer! Best of all, it's FREE, so you don't have to worry about admission! We plan to be playing on Jefferson Street in front of the courthouse steps from 6 - 9 PM, amplified and rockin' our hardest. Come see us! It's possible that we'll have the album finished by then, so we may have copies for sale. Either way, it's gonna be awesome.

Sign the guestbook. We mean it.

Due to unprecedented response from our recent Panoply show, we have been approached by the Huntsville Arts Council to participate in their Sidewalk Summer Arts Stroll. The great thing about this show is that it is FREE (unlike Panoply)!

Here's the official press release about the event:

HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA--Join us Thursday, June 22 from 6:00 – 9:00 as the sidewalks of downtown Huntsville becomes stages for the arts! The Sidewalk Arts Stroll will bring people to Huntsville’s downtown square for fun, entertainment and food on a week night. Historic Huntsville Foundation is sponsor of the event, partnering with Meridian Arts, the Arts Council, DowntownHuntsville.com, and in cooperation with Big Springs Partners.

The event will take place on the sidewalks around the courthouse square, beginning with Harrison Brothers Hardware, and continue along Jefferson Street to Meridian Arts Gallery at 305 Jefferson Street. Along the way, artists will set up tables to present their artwork and performing groups will be located along the way to provide entertainment. The night of the event, Harrison Brothers will debut ‘Arts Alabama,’ a section of the store that showcases the work of select Alabama artists.

Come out and support the 'Maniacs as they continue their reign of dulcimer-fueled comedic furor over the citizens of Huntsville!

Big news. The 'Maniacs are currently in the studio working on their first quasi-commercial release, NaDuck! The first track to be officially recorded at CD quality, "Bite Me",  is available to hear in its possibly complete form on the "MUSIC" page now!

Also, there are some new "PHOTOS" of the Acoustamaniacs laying down tracks in their ghetto makeshift recording studio in the Honors Lounge at UAH. I'm particularly fond of the microphone strapped to the top of the tv.

Check out the new stuff and remember to drink grape soda. And Vault. And hydrochloric acid.

Later, FFCs.

~Acoustamaniacs Webmaster, 6/6/06 (Ooooh, isn't that an ominous date?)

Time for me to get off my lazy expletive deleted and post an update,  eh?

So, the Panoply street performance went quite well. In fact, it kicked expletive deleted. Quite a few people listened to the 'Maniacs, and we all had a super amount of fun. The set lasted for close to two hours without repeating a single song, original and cover. I think it may have been one of the best Acoustamaniacs performances to date, though it's hard to tell.

The entire performance was recorded via ibook, but the recording didn't turn out too well. I made a 5 and 1/2 minute compilation of the best moments of the recording that you can hear on the "MUSIC" page, but it's pretty worthless. Better than nothing, though!

Also, there are some pictures from the Panoply show on the "PHOTOS" page. Check them.

Ok, here's the deal: The Acoustamaniacs will be playing at Panoply on Friday night from 7-9  in Big Spring Park. Our exact location is still undecided at the moment, but we'll let you know. If we don't, just wander around until you find us. Follow the screaming crowd.

Come out and have a rockin' time with the 'Maniacs! It'll be a lot of fun*!

Update! The 'Maniacs are scheduled to play at the Panoply Arts Festival in Big Spring Park on Sunday April 30 sometime between 12 and 2 PM. We'll let you know the exact time when we find out. We have new music for you to listen to on the "music" page!! Go! They are live versions of some of the Acoustamaniacs' finest works recorded at the less-than-impressive auditions for Panoply. While the auditions themselves were terribly organized and the crowd was less-than-big, the 'Maniacs put on a rockin' performance and we think you should hear it. Go!

Also, if you're bored and feel like reading a poorly constructed, misleading piece of journalist defecate, check out this article written about the auditions for Panoply in the Huntsville Times. Notice how we are referred to as a "comedy singing group called the AcoustaManiacs". Since when are we a singing group and since when are we flippin' comedians, and since when does our band name have two capital letters?! I am thoroughly disgusted. Also, I don't think "mission accomplished" is a very accurate way to describe those auditions. If what happened there was really their mission, I feel incredibly sorry for them.

Anyway, we'll keep you posted and updated and junk. Sign the guestbook! Until we meet again I'll leave you with this question: What indeed is Ophelia's other name?

~Acoustamaniacs Webmaster, 4/15/06

The Acoustamaniacs website is now officially on the web! Obviously! We have two songs for you to listen to on the "Music" page, some aaaawesome photos for you to check out on the "Photos" page... and some other stuff! Have fun looking around. Definitely sign the guestbook... and check out our MySpace music site at http://myspace.com/acoustamaniacs!

Peace yo,
